The Lammerding Lab is a research group at Cornell that focuses on the mechanobiology of the nucleus and its role in disease pathology. Areas of research include characterizing nuclear mechanics in cancer metastasis and the development of therapeutic interventions for diseases involving impaired nuclear mechanics. My project focuses on the second area of research, evaluating the safety and efficacy of LINC complex disruption as a potential treatment for dilated cardiomyopathy and muscular dystrophy.Â
